Providing Comfort/Reducing Pain in Labour – A 2-hr Class

Event Details

This event finished on 06 January 2019

Come to this one shot, 2-hr investment in a better birth!  Many people have said this is one of the best things they did to prepare for birth.  It’s great as a refresher or for first timers – and this info is not covered in any other prenatal classes!  We squeeze over 35 years of experience being doulas into a 2 hour session of fun and movement.

Tips, tales and practical stuff to help both of you feel more prepared for labour, learn some real massage techniques that work to reduce pain and feel less anxious as your birthing date nears.  Topics include comfort measures that really work, positions for labour/birth and what the labour partner can do to help and ease pain, massage techniques, communicating effectively with each other and medical caregivers, strategies for avoiding unnecessary interventions, getting informed consent.

“I am so glad we took this class from Angie and Karen – I feel so much more prepared and, more importantly, both of us now have so many real, practical ideas of ways to be supported” Laurie

$50 / pregnant woman, solo or with her birth partner(s)
